Oscars 2015

It’s that time of year again. This year’s Oscar nominees were announced just under two weeks ago and those who are still enamored with the glitz and glamour associated with the Academy Awards are now rushing to see as many nominees as they can before February 22.

I, for one, love this time of the year. I spend much of the fall following rumors and speculation about who will and will not be nominated – and once the nominees are announced, I rush to see as many as possible in the month given before the awards. Some years bring better nominees than others, but this year looks to have a good crop. Biographical films dominate the year’s nominees, but this has led to some impressive actor/actress performances.

Below is a complete list of the nominees. My goal is to see as many as possible in the next several weeks, with my minimum goal to see all of the Best Picture nominees. As I see and write about them, I’ll link to the post in here. And as always, I welcome your input in the comments!
